“Doctor Couple Arrested for Allegedly Keeping Twin Siblings Captive and Abusing Them in Guwahati”

In a disturbing incident, two doctors from Guwahati have been arrested for allegedly holding twin siblings captive and abusing them for an extended period. The couple, consisting of Dr. Waliul Islam, a skilled surgeon, and Dr. Sangeeta Datta, an accomplished psychiatrist, have been sent to police custody, along with their domestic help, who has been remanded to judicial custody. As per official reports, the couple has been charged under the stringent Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The incident has caused widespread outrage, and authorities are investigating the case thoroughly to ensure that justice is served.

A horrifying case of child abuse has been uncovered in Guwahati, with one of the victims having multiple injuries on her body. As per reports from the police, a medical examination of the child revealed that she had sustained burn injuries to her private parts caused by cigarettes. According to the Commissioner of Police, Diganta Barah, the minor girl was held captive on the fourth floor of Roma Enclave, the residence of the doctor couple. The victim, a three-year-old girl, had bruises on several parts of her body and suffered unspeakable trauma at the hands of her captors. The case has sparked outrage, and authorities are working diligently to ensure that justice is served for the innocent victim.

After a thorough investigation, all three individuals accused in the case have been arrested, including the domestic help, Lakshmi Nath. The accused were presented before the Chief Judicial Magistrate’s court in Guwahati on Sunday, where the court remanded the couple to five-day police custody and sent the maid, Laxmi Nath, to seven-day judicial custody. According to the police, the couple has been charged under the strict provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The arrest of the accused has been a significant breakthrough in the case and has brought some solace to the affected families. However, the authorities will continue to investigate the case further to ensure that justice is served for the victims.
