Yamaha R15M Carbon Edition Launch date: In a spectacular display at the ongoing Mobility Show in Delhi, Yamaha Motorcycles showcased their renowned Yamaha R15M, now infused with a carbon-fiber makeover, aptly named the Yamaha R15M Carbon Edition. The motorcycle boasts a captivating and aggressive look, featuring imitation carbon fiber finishes that have added an extra edge to its appearance on the Mobility Show stage.
The Yamaha R15M has made a striking appearance at the Mobility Show, flaunting an attractive design and a carbon-fiber body. The entire front fascia has been adorned with a carbon-fiber design, topped with a glossy finish. Yamaha has left no stone unturned in showcasing the rear section, keeping the set subtle to highlight the carbon fiber finish.
While Yamaha has not officially disclosed the launch date of the R15M, industry insiders suggest that the motorcycle could hit the Indian market in the final days of February this year.
As for the pricing, it is anticipated to be positioned at a slight premium, falling between an estimated range of ₹2 lakhs to ₹2.10 lakhs.
The heart of the Yamaha R15M Carbon Edition lies in its distinctive engine specifications. Powering the bike is a 155cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled SOHC fuel-injected engine that delivers 18.1bhp at 10,000 RPM and 14.2Nm of torque at 7,500 RPM. Mated to a 6-speed gearbox, the motorcycle also features a slipper clutch and assist clutch for enhanced riding dynamics.

Building on the existing features of the Yamaha R15 model, the Carbon Edition is expected to introduce a trip navigation system, complementing its fully digital instrument cluster, smartphone connectivity, Bluetooth capabilities, call alerts, and SMS alerts.
Yamaha has equipped the R15M with an upgraded hardware and suspension setup, featuring upside-down front forks and a rear mono-shock for precise control. The braking system includes a 282mm front disc and a 220mm rear disc, ensuring reliable stopping power. Safety features include dual-channel ABS, traction control system, and an anti-lock braking system.
As we await the official launch of the 2024 Yamaha R15M Carbon Edition, it’s evident that Yamaha is pushing the boundaries of design and performance in the Indian motorcycle market.
