Mahindra Scorpio Breaks Records: In a surprising turn of events, Mahindra‘s Scorpio has shattered all records, achieving outstanding sales figures in just one month. The sales report for December has been released, revealing the Scorpio’s dominance in the Indian SUV market.
Mahindra has released the sales report of its Scorpio for the last month.reaffirming its position as the top-selling SUV within Mahindra’s diverse lineup. The Scorpio’s popularity is on a consistent upswing, with escalating sales witnessed month after month. The Scorpio range encompasses two distinctive variants – the Scorpio Classic and the Scorpio N, solidifying its status as a beloved SUV in the dynamic Indian automotive landscape.
The Mahindra Scorpio, currently the best-selling SUV in Mahindra’s portfolio, has witnessed a consistent increase in sales month after month. The Scorpio lineup includes the Scorpio Classic and Scorpio N variants.
1. Mahindra Scorpio N:
In a spectacular performance, the Mahindra Scorpio N, available in both petrol and diesel variants, recorded a whopping 11,890 units sold in December. This is a significant jump from the previous year’s sales of 9,536 units. The company has maintained an impressive growth rate of 24.22% year-on-year, attributing the surge to the introduction of the new Mahindra Scorpio N and Scorpio Classic models.
The Scorpio N comes with a 2.2-liter diesel engine producing 132 bhp and 300 Nm of torque. Additionally, it offers a 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine generating 203 bhp and 380 Nm of torque. Both engine options come with a standard six-speed manual transmission, with the top variant offering an automatic gearbox. The diesel variant also features four-wheel-drive technology.
Key Features of Mahindra Scorpio N:
Safety features include six airbags, electronic stability control, tire pressure monitoring system, hill hold assist, and ISOFIX child seat anchors.
2. Mahindra Scorpio Classic:
The Scorpio Classic, priced between INR 16 lakhs and 20.51 lakhs (on-road Delhi), is offered in two variants. Powered by a 2.2-liter diesel engine delivering 130 bhp and 300 Nm torque, it operates with a 6-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel-drive technology.
Key Features of Mahindra Scorpio Classic:
The Scorpio Classic competes with Tata Harrier Facelift, Tata Safari Facelift, Kia Seltos, and Hyundai Creta in the Indian market.
