Assam Police Recruitment 2023 : Assam Police is inviting applications for various positions in the Assam Police Border Organization. This recruitment drive aims to fill 332 vacancies for the roles of Inspector (B), Sub-Inspector (B), Head Constable (B), and Constable (B). Eligible Ex-Servicemen (Army/Navy/Air Force) who are ordinarily domiciled in Assam can apply online for these positions under the PIF scheme. The application deadline is 15th September 2023.

   • Number of Vacancies: 2
   • Pay Scale: Rs. 22,000/- to 97,000/- (PB-3) with Grade Pay Rs. 10,300/-
2. Sub-Inspector (B)
   • Number of Vacancies: 60
   • Pay Scale: Rs. 14,000/- to 60,500/- (PB-2) with Grade Pay Rs. 8,700/-
3. Head Constable (B)
   • Number of Vacancies: 70
   • Pay Scale: Rs. 14,000/- to 60,500/- (PB-2) with Grade Pay Rs. 6,800/-
4. Constable (B)
   • Number of Vacancies: 200
   • Pay Scale: Rs. 14,000/- to 60,500/- (PB-2) with Grade Pay Rs. 5,600/-

Eligibility Criteria for Assam Police Recruitment

• Nationality: Candidates must be ordinarily domiciled in Assam.
• Age Limit: The candidate’s age should not exceed 50 years as of 01-01-2023 (i.e., the candidate must be born on or after 01.01.1973).
• Educational Qualification:
  • For all posts: HSLC or equivalent.
  • Service Qualification:
    • For Constable & Head Constable posts: Retired in the rank of Sepoy to Havildar in the Army or equivalent rank in Navy or Air Force.
    • For Sub-Inspector & Inspector posts: Retired in the rank of Naib Subedar or above in the Army or equivalent rank in Navy or Air Force.
  Note: Ex-Servicemen who retired as Havildar or equivalent rank but served for 15 years or more can apply for the post of Sub-Inspector instead of Constable/Head Constable, but not for both.

Application Fee: There is no application fee for candidates.

Documents to Upload in Assam Police Online Application Portal

Candidates need to upload the following documents during the online application submission:

i) Relevant pages of the discharge book issued by the Defense Ministry containing the candidate’s personal details and medical category at the time of discharge. ii) Pension Pay Order. iii) Passport size photograph. iv) Educational Qualification Documents. v) Identity Card issued by the Zila Sainik Welfare Office. vi) Certificate regarding background in Military Police, Special Forces, with special skills, Training, if any. vii) Signature.
