Assam Atmanirbhar Yojana Registration :The Assam government is introducing a new scheme called the Assam Atmanirbhar Yojana, which was recently discussed in a cabinet meeting on September 12. Registration for this scheme will be available on its official portal, set to launch soon.
The Assam government plans to offer interest-free loans to youths for starting their entrepreneurial ventures. The target is to assist over 2 lakh individuals, with 1 lakh in the financial year 2023-24 and another 1 lakh in the financial year 2024-25.
Beneficiaries will receive interest-free loans, and they are required to undergo one month of training in their chosen skill or educational institutions. During the training, they will also receive a stipend of INR 10,000. Repayment of the loan is expected after 5 years. Training will cover subjects like entrepreneurship, accounting, management, and others.
However, it’s important to note that only the draft of this scheme has been presented in the cabinet meeting, and precise information on various aspects is yet to be released. Applicants interested in this scheme should regularly check the official State Portal of Assam for updates. The government is likely to launch a separate portal dedicated to the Assam Atmanirbhar Yojana, providing detailed information on registration, eligibility, loan amounts, training duration, and more.
